I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
